Seminar content | This short course will help you understand why and how experiments can help understand relevant phenomena in economics and business. We will cover the principles, design choices & challenges for laboratory and field experiments. We will also cover how to properly elicit preferences and expectations, and how to think about the generated data from an analytical perspective. You should view this course as helping you understand the process of experimenting. How to tell good from bad experiments apart? What stages of planning and implementation do I need to go through? Et cetera. |

Assessment | During the course, your active participation is essential. At the end of the course, you will need to write a comprehensive pre-registration/pre-analysis plan for an experimental idea. The plan should include experimental design, hypotheses, and detailed description of statistical testing. |
